| "Schmooze America" |
| For Scott Dellabella, it was all about being on
TV. "I wanted to schmooze America," said Scott, an IT consultant for Motorola. Sure, a million dollars would be nice and help pay the bills, but being on national TV- what could be better? So Scott, who said he's always been good with "useless knowledge," took to trivia and found himself headed to the ABC studios in New York. When Scott got to the studio - not just one but two camera crews were waiting for him. First, the TV crew for the show, and second, a crew working on a behind-the-scenes documentary of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Scott's chances of getting on TV had instantly doubled. Throughout the entire process, lunch and the rest of it, the documentary crews followed the contestants around. "They were shooting raw footage," said Scott. "There was always a weird guy sticking the camera in everybody's face." Everybody's face but Scott's. He wasn't interviewed by the documentary crew and he didn't make it into the hot seat. However, Scott hasn't given up hope. He's going to try again to become a millionaire, and more importantly, to schmooze America on national TV. |
