State Street, often
called "that great street," is the heart of Chicago and
part of the city's central business district. In the 1940s and 1950s,
State Street was world reowned for shopping, dining and entertainment.
The history commemorated every June at "Celebrate on State Street."
Hundreds of arts and crafts dealers set up a street bazaar, and ther's
plenty of food and entertainment. |
